Visit Santana
The “little houses of Santana” have become icons widely known nationally (and beyond) for the peculiar beauty of its architectural style. With a triangular shape and thatched roofs, they are the biggest symbol of this municipality on the north coast of Madeira Island.
Levada walk PR9 Caldeirão Verde
With a distance of 8.7 km (+ 8.7 km return), PR 9 Levada do Caldeirão Verde is of medium difficulty and offers hikers the chance to explore the orography of the interior of the island, known for its monumental landscapes.
Levada Walk PR1.2 Vereda do Pico Ruivo
Pico Ruivo Footpath offers a clear view over the Central Mountainous Massif and several other points of interest. It is the highest point of the Island.
